आलोक रंजन
9 मार्च, 1956 में जन्मे आलोक रंजन ने दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय के सेंट स्टीफेन कॉलेज से बी.ए. ऑनर्स (अर्थशास्त्र) की उपाधि ग्रहण करने के पश्चात् इंडियन इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ़ मैनेजमेंट अहमदाबाद से एम.बी.ए. किया। वर्ष 1978 में श्री रंजन का चयन भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा में हो गया। वे क्रमश: ग़ाज़ीपुर, बाँदा, ग़ाज़ियाबाद, आगरा और इलाहाबाद ज़िलों के ज़िलाधिकारी पद पर रहे। इसके अतिरिक्त प्रशासक नगर महापालिका, इलाहाबाद नगर निगम; उपाध्यक्ष, इलाहाबाद विकास प्राधिकरण; प्रबन्ध निदेशक, स्पिनिंग मिल्स; अपर निदेशक, उद्योग के पदों पर भी आसीन रहे। वे सचिव, बेसिक शिक्षा एवं सचिव, वित्त के पद पर भी रहे हैं। वे सचिव, मुख्यमंत्री के पद पर भी रहे। ज़िलाधिकारी, आगरा के कार्यकाल में उनके द्वारा सम्पूर्ण साक्षरता अभियान का सफल संचालन किया गया तथा बेसिक शिक्षा में रहते हुए उन्होंने प्रौढ़ शिक्षा की दिशा में आनेवाली समस्याओं को देखा व परखा और उस पर उनकी लेखनी चली। उनकी इस कृति का नाम है—‘टुवड् र्स अडल्ट्स लिट्रेसी इन इंडिया’, ‘मीनिंग ए डिफरेंस—आई.ए.एस. एज ए कैरियर’ पुस्तक इन दिनों चर्चा में है।
